House of Leoque finally opens shop in Multiply Marketplace.

They have been posting for quite some time over at Multiply but using “photos” & “album” as tools to showcase the furniture and home accents.

But now, they are migrating their account to an “online shop”. Thereby, there is a dedicated section to display products and with shopping cart capability.

Drawing vs Doing

We draw draft designs and sometimes when we make it, we deviate a little (form, color, economics – cost, function) for the betterment of the furniture. So the final make may differ with planned furniture. But sometimes, the finished furniture is exactly the same as we drew it. See samples below.

Furniture Design (Divider, Shelves, Mirror, Dining Table, Console Table)

Zirc-Zag Space Divider - Featuring two bold looking red solid posts, anchoring the zig-zag panels with holes. Used to be, you’ll see a furniture of this make only in high-end furniture stores and homes. Now, no more. It will be made and priced mid-range but undoubtedly, a furniture with high-end look.

Bath Shelves - With off-angled wood framing, holding the thick glass layers.

POSH Rounded Mirror, with inner framing. I don’t know but I feel a sense of good luck vibe in this design. Get this limited make mirror soon and get the good luck charm I feel. Let me mention too, that we use imported high quality no-ghosting mirror.

4-Seater mega-solid dining table. Highlighted by 2 circular holes at the cross solid base. Now that’s a dining room table: clean, graphic and modern.

The YCON Console Table – With it’s two-toned design and architectural edge, this furniture is pretty to look at. It’s wide and double layered too for more storage & display options.

CONTY Table Console. A living space statement piece. Straight edge table top in contrast with the curved legs makes this piece a winner. All solid wood.

ZEBELIN Wide 4-Seater Dining Table. Incorporates sexy tapered legs and 3 solid panels. With matching dining chairs to boot, a dining table set to dine for.

It’s now mid-November but it’s still not that late to bring in your holiday – Christmas decor.

To bring in the holiday cheer, you could always try the good ol’ Christmas tree. But there are other pieces that you could add…

Red is Alive!

Like, Christmas colored curtains, linens and draperies. To have that Christmas theme going on, you can’t go wrong by using the reds and greens and the ube – purple. Of course, the more you explore with colors, the more fun the process will be. That’s what it is all about after all, the fun and joy in decorating your home thisholiday season.

Balls should not be limited as Christmas tree accessories. You could also use these balls as yuletide accents. Shower your home with joyful accent balls now. Shoot em up inside tall glasses, place them on wooden bowls and use this as tabletop Christmas center of attraction. For added elegance, shoot for the gold & silver colored balls. And these balls, keep them all ’til New Years, it’s for good luck as well or so they claim.

101 Photos

We’re able to finally print some of the photos we got. Printed primarily for offline viewing and second, for filing/archiving. After getting the copies and inserting them onto the album, I must say, the cost (print + album) is worth it.

The good ol’ photo print is still the best way to look at the imagery. Better than wide screen laptop, better the LCDs, better than any other hi-tech photo viewer gizmo out there. There’s something about looking & holding the photo paper. About a hundred pictures all in all, see tiled thumbnail above.

Don't Try This At Home

Just one little milestone at Leoque website. We have posted 499 juicylicious posts encompassing our furniture products, displays & accents, some fun photo shots of products, a bit of industry tips and news, interesting site links… and more.

And so, we got 500 posts now!

With just a little over half a year, we get to be at half-kilo posts. On average, we are producing over 2 and half posts per day. I’m just lazy to dig, but I know, there are over 2000 copyrighted photos at site, all photographed and processed by us. Over 400 pieces of distinct & different items-for-sale scattered all throughout the four hundred ninety nine posts.

But wait, there’s more…

The back-end part of doing this online furniture shop, that’s also a handful. Making sure that the plug-ins are working, the contact form, doing back-ups, the pages are showing up correctly, ads are all good and more.

I’ll tell you, making a shop-blog for furniture is not for the faint-hearted. Kids, don’t try this at home.

Marketers always have the statement… “we are the fastest growing network…,” “we are the fastest growing food chain…,” etc… well, we are positive, the House of Leoque furniture website, is one of the fastest growing weblogs-con-shop in the Philippines. And this site will only get bigger, bolder and better.
